The Goodness Garden

Written by retired schoolteacher, Sue Meier and her niece, Megan Calderon, along with the talented Aaron Giannoni as the illustrator, The Goodness Garden is about the founder of Spread Goodness Day and her “special sun-shaped seeds" that make the world a brighter place. Sue has participated in our annual Spread Goodness Day enthusiastically for six years, Bringing our celebration to multiple schools and classrooms in her city!

Through sponsors & donors, we will be able to provide hundreds of free copies of the book to selected pre-kindergarten through second-grade classrooms throughout Michigan and hopefully beyond!

Sue and Megan are passionate about Anna’s story and her purpose for Spread Goodness Day: to make the world a better place. This book will help share her vision with the next generation and advocate for children's literacy.

We believe kindness is the single most powerful thing we can teach our children. We are confident this book will be a powerful addition to celebrating kindness, not only on Spread Goodness Day, but EVERY day.

Through our Giving Tuesday Campaign, sponsors and individual donors, there are 1000 copies of the book being given to pre-K through second grade classroom throughout Michigan and beyond!

All initial orders will be shipped in February 2025.
