Six Years of Spreading Goodness with First National Bank & Trust
First National Bank & Trust of Iron Mountain, Michigan is proud to have taken part since Spread Goodness Day’s 2018 inception. Since that first year, the bank’s locations in Iron Mountain-Kingsford, Menominee and Iron River have all enthusiastically participated. Each year, the First National Bank & Trust Spread Goodness Day Committee meets to decide what activities each location will be doing.
Over the last five years this has ranged from animal shelter food and supplies donations, treating random recipients to free coffee at local businesses, giving away flowers, donating to U.P. Regional Health Blood Drive volunteer nurses, providing treats and refreshments to the workers at local healthcare systems, police K-9 unit donations, and providing Chamber Cash at local Chamber of Commerce member businesses to treat customers throughout the day.
“First National Bank & Trust has been a proud supporter of Spread Goodness Day since its inception,” said Matt Lutz, CFO of First National Bank & Trust. “What the day represents is exactly what try to promote as part of our company culture. When I first heard about Spread Goodness Day in 2018, I knew it was a great fit for our Bank to be a part of this event. We have been excited and proud to see how Spread Goodness Day has grown since its first year and how Anna’s idea for a day of kindness has grown into a global movement!”
The bank’s Spread Goodness Day Committee is already in the planning stages for the 2023 event with a number of ideas floating around for unique and fun ways to spread goodness throughout the communities they serve
